Beachbody Coaching

This is a fun topic for me.  In order for me to tell you about Beachbody Coaching, I need to tell you where I came from.  I won’t go into a lot of detail here, but you can read my story at my home page.  Anyway, I weighed nearly 300 lbs and didn’t even know how bad of shape I was in when I found P90X.  I was a bit delusional about my life.  I was comparing myself to others around me and I was OK.  Because I had graduated from a Military College, I knew I wasn’t in shape, but I didn’t realize how bad it was.  If you have heard my story, you know, I tell people all the time when I took my before pictures when I started P90X, I was grossed out.  Most people only see themselves in pictures or from the neck up in the bathroom mirror.  Nobody ever really gets naked and stands in front of a full length mirror.  Pictures are brutal because the eye doesn’t correct for mistakes in pictures like they do in real life.  Long story short, I ordered P90X  and connected with my Beachbody Coach, who lived in Chicago, Illinois and she was there for me.  We talked online all the time and occasionally on the phone.  She kept me moving when I felt like quitting because I was so sore the first couple of weeks.  After a couple of months, I had lost 20 lbs of fat and put on some muscle.  I had already started telling people about P90X and had started having people ask what I was doing.  I knew I wanted to help people but I was afraid of Beachbody Coaching.  But, it was time, so I took the plunge.  At the time, I was unemployed and had been for 2 months and my wife was pregnant with our 4th child.  But, I had to do it.  I had no idea how much Beachbody Coaching would become a part of my life.

What Beachbody Coaching is about

Beachbody Coaching is really all about encouragement and inspiration for people.  I wanted to get into Beachbody Coaching before I found out you could make money.  But, let’s be straight up and honest here.  This is a very serious business.  If I recommend a program to someone and they buy it and I help them with it, it is only fair that Beachbody compensates me for my recommendation for being their “marketing arm”.  My initial goal was to make $250 a month from my Beachbody Coaching business.  I wanted to pay for the products I was using and also offset some of my expenses from my boys playing travel baseball.  As I said, I was unemployed at the time, so, anything was going to be a help and I was a bit hesitant with the money I would spend to be a coach, but it was minimal and with a little creativity, I never even missed that money.  Most people spend more for a nice dinner out than it costs to be a coach per month.  So, money should not ever be an issue.  Besides, this is a money making business, not a money spending business.  Here is the thing, I knew I would hold myself more accountable if I got into Beachbody Coaching because I would be tying my wallet to my waistline so this would have to become a lifestyle for me instead of just a program.  I also wanted to help others find the healthy lifestyle I had found.  So, in the end, when I weighed the pros and cons of Beachbody Coaching, it totally made sense for me to do it!!  Now, after building the Beachbody business in my spare time for about 3 to 4 years, this is what I do fulltime.  I left the Engineering world and I’m making a lot more money, and, I love what I do.  I hope you do too.

Why Beachbody Coaching may (or may not) be for you

I have told people in the past, and I’m sure I will tell people in future, there are two main reasons why I can think that you would not want to be a Beachbody Coach.  The first one is you don’t want to make money.  The second is you don’t want to help people.  It really is that simple.  If you start seeing results, you will automatically want to help others.  You won’t be able to help yourself.  I had someone ask me the other day, “How many hours a week do you spend building a Beachbody business?”  My answer was, Beachbody Coaching isn’t something I do, Beachbody Coaching is something I am.  I don’t go out to do Beachbody.  I do Beachbody while I’m out.  I don’t know how else to describe it.  Anytime someone asks me a question I can’t answer, I just find out from our community of Coaches or from people who have been mentoring me.  I still ask questions all the time because I don’t know it all.  I will never be an underwear model and I will never be the ultimate Beachbody Coach with all of the answers.  But, I do know I can help people who need help and as a by product, I help myself.  I get to be a part of people’s success stories and help them feel better about themselves and then, help them pass that on to others.

So, the bottom line is, if you want to help other people get in the best shape of their lives, while you are doing it yourself, and get compensated from a GREAT Company, Beachbody Coaching is likely for you.  We are Independent Team Beachbody Coaches and are supported by Beachbody.  I would love to talk to you more about it and give you the facts.  Contact me and let’s talk about it.  First things first though.  Let’s get you a Challenge Pack and get you moving on your fitness journey.
