Core De Force Coach Test Group Results – 60 Days

I’m actually about 75 days in at this point, but I will try to only talk about my

            60 Days – 33 lbs

60 day results.  So, here are my results after 60 days:  33 lbs down and 12 total inches gone with 5 to 6 inches right around my belly button.  THAT to me is INCREDIBLE!!!  As I said, I’m 15 more days in now and I’ve lost more inches and weight but you will have to wait until Day 90 for me to give you “the rest of the story”.

I was a bit skeptical when I first heard that Beachbody was going to release an MMA style workout.  I’ve seen some of these before and they were good, but they weren’t my soul mate workout, despite me being a practitioner of Martial Arts (Primarily Traditional Jujitsu and dabbling in some of the others).  I knew you could get a good workout doing Martial Arts but to do it at home is a tall task.  I decided though, to give it the benefit of the doubt.

Well, then, I got the word that Beachbody wanted me to be a part of their Coach Test Group.  I had to sign a contract to not disclose anything about the workouts, nutrition plan, I couldn’t post pictures of the TV/DVD images, I couldn’t post any more than 1 minute snippets of certain workouts, etc.  I also had to pledge that I would do my best to stick to the nutrition plan.  It took me about 5 nanoseconds to commit to it because I knew this was something I could do and, with the world watching, I had incredible accountability.

Over the last 4 years or so, I had lost myself.  My Mother was battling Alzheimer’s/Dementia and I watched her slowly decline to the point where she didn’t know who I was anymore.  I knew I was an emotional eater but during this time, I completely lost it and began to eat myself silly.  Literally.  I didn’t even realize I was doing it at the time.  When I got the documents from Beachbody and I took my before pictures, that is when it hit home and got real.  There is something about taking pictures and looking at them that you just don’t get by looking in a mirror.  As I posted on Facebook, Denial ain’t just a River in Egypt.

The workouts were hard, but doable.  Day 1 was just as I thought it would be.  It was punching and kicking a lot of fun.  Each workout is broken into 3-minute “rounds”.  You go as hard as you can until you hear the bell ring.  During the main workouts, you go through a sequence of punching, kicking, knees, elbows, etc for a minute, then you get a 30 second “spike” to raise your heart rate, followed by a minute of the same initial sequence and a final 30 second “spike”.  The workouts are set up to vary speed and intensity during the workout so you get a high intensity interval training effect that is also fun.  Then on other days, there are workouts that are body weight strength exercises to push even the most fit people to the limit.  There is also a modifier during the workouts so you can dial down the intensity as you see fit.  Even into my 3rd 30-day round, I’m still modifying some things.  At 51 years old, I have no intention of doing the things I thought I could do at 21, BUT, I can do many things better than I could then.  I’m still a work in progress.

The eating plan is just that, an eating plan.  It’s not a starvation diet but containers are used so that you get used to controlling the amount of food you eat.  The problem a lot of people have is overeating on good food.  The eating plan is also designed to add more food to your nutrition during the 2nd and 3rd weeks as the workouts intensify.
